Amanda did some modeling in college, but she never considered Playboy until a girl from her high school, a certain Kelly Carrington, became Miss October 2008. Emboldened by her friend’s success, she sent us her portfolio, and we invited her for a test shoot and a stay at the Mansion. “Two weeks later, Hef approved my Centerfold,” she says. “I couldn’t believe it – I got to be Miss October, too. I screamed and called all of my friends and family.” Amanda had never posed nude – at least not in front of a photographer and full crew – but the makeup artist on set assured her that Stephen Wayda was a consummate professional, and by the end of the day she was a pro, too. Speaking of her professional life, Amanda has moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a model and actress. “I have a lot on my plate,” she says, “but I wouldn’t have it any other way.” Neither would we.
