Gia Ramey-Gay is as American as apple pie—or Playboy, for that matter—but her appeal is decidedly more global. Born and raised in Charlottesville, Virginia, Gia’s made a name for herself as a model, actress and Latin dancer in Los Angeles, as well as an activist in other parts of the world. “I’m an animal rights activist, and I even lived in the Panamanian rainforest with monkeys for a few months,” says Gia. “I’m a certified yoga teacher, professional salsa dancer, volunteer worker and guitar player.” Miss Ramey-Gay is a dish with a lot on her plate, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t hungry for more. When it comes to life’s flavors, she’s excited to taste them all. “I’ve been modeling since I was sixteen, and when I moved to LA, I decided to go to a Playboy casting,” she says. “I have to admit, I’m a little nervous to see myself nude online, but I’m so excited to see the results! Playboy’s a classic, and I couldn’t be happier to join the family.” The feeling was mutual—due to overwhelming fan response, we named her Cybergirl of the Month in November 2015 and then Cybergirl of the Year 2016. Next up, Gia’s hoping to do a little more traveling—she names Tanzania and Indonesia as dream destinations, and she’s hoping to work with elephants next. “I love animals,” says Gia. “I don’t know what I’ll do next, but I’m really excited to do it!”
